Connection to the tractor
The connection of the ATLAS 1000 to the tractor is the first operation to be carried out to allow the use of the machine.
This operation, facilitated by the quick coupling system, can be carried out with all tractors equipped with a rear slide for tow bar support.
The connection of the machine to the tractor takes place:
• connecting the main frame to the rear slide of the tractor tow bar,
• approaching ATLAS 1000, moving it manually, through the specially set gripping points, or by forklift,
• adjusting the height in order to obtain correct positioning,
• connecting the hydraulic lines to the tractor,
• by hooking the secondary frame to the primary and bringing the locking flange to the working position.
• by raising the support foot using the rotating handle.
The tractor lift “ATLAS 1000” is equipped with automatic locks against accidental fall or failures, thus ensuring a high degree of safety in any situation.
Lifting of the tractor
It is the main operation carried out by ATLAS 1000.
After having connected it to the tractor it is possible to control the movement of the secondary frame of the lifting trolley until the wheels contact the ground.
Forcing the movement will generate the lifting of the rear wheels of the tractor.
In the case in which the tractor involved in lifting appears in non-operating conditions, it is possible to connect the pipes to a second tractor, commanding the lifting from a distance.
Handling of the tractor
The movement of the tractor, following the lifting and removal of the relative rear wheels, is possible by adopting two different modes, depending on the type of traction and condition of the tractor concerned.
Autonomous movement of the tractor
The autonomous movement becomes possible in the case in which the transmission and the motor of the tractor are working.
In this case, if the tractor is equipped with four-wheel drive, simply start the engine, engage the drive on the four wheels and then, by commanding the normal progress of the tractor, move freely.
Trailer handling of the tractor – Failure tractors recovery
The movement of the towing takes place in the presence of tractors with simple traction or impossible to start or use the transmission.
For example, if the tractor in question were to be found to be in a state of failure such as to prevent the rear wheels from spinning (breaking of the outer gearbox, failure of the axle shaft, breaking of the rear wheel bearings, etc.), it is possible to proceed with recovery thanks to ATLAS 1000.
In this case, after the normal connection, it will be sufficient to control the lifting of the tractor and then proceed with the movement by towing.
The tractor must be towed using the front tow hook, connected by a rigid bar to an auxiliary tractor.
Positioning and stabilization
After handling without the presence of the rear wheels, attention must be paid to the positioning and stabilization of the tractor in view of maintenance or repair work.
The correct positioning of the tractor must foresee the predisposition and positioning of an adequate number of safety trestles able to guarantee the stability and the immobility of the tractor in the position identified as ideal in view of the maintenance or repair operations.
During the maintenance or repair of the tractor there is the possibility of having to check the rotation of the wheels.
ATLAS 1000 facilitates the performance of these operations in complete safety.
Disconnection from the tractor
The disconnection operations of the ATLAS 1000 are similar to the operations related to the connection but carried out according to an inverse procedure.
